I got an email from Australia Post a little while ago asking me to do a lifestyle survey. Gmail doesn’t load images in emails unless you tell it to (or tell it to always display images from that sender), so you get to see the alternate text.
Email before images
I allowed it to show the images and it wasn’t quite what was expected.
Email with images
It turns out that Australia Post is less apt at identifying genders than a 2 year old.

We have males in America that look like that.

Oh sure, they’re around… it’s just not what I’d call representative, which presumably and image for a survey is supposed to be!

I regularly get these emails. I can’t remember how I got on the mailing list but I did.
I actually filled it out the first time [iirc they try to bribe you with a possible prize] but now it is straight to the trashcan ~ immediate delete.

Maybe it was written by someone who can’t spell “mail”. Which would be pretty bad seeing it’s Australia Post.
Speaking of online surveys, Monash University (also in Australia, although I don’t need to tell you that, kristarella!) is running a survey about internet gambling habits, and if you participate you can be in the running to win an iPod. Is it just me who sees the irony?
