“The principal of a year-12 student who is in a critical condition after a rock-throwing incident in northern Sydney says the school is shocked by the attack.”
What is up with newspaper grammar? It took me about three reads to figure out what this sentence was trying to say. They couldn’t use a couple of commas?
On a related note, why can’t they just give us the story? I suppose they want you to actually go to the site to view advertisements so that they keep getting money. It doesn’t work for me – I have too many things that I want to read without having to run after articles by people who can’t be bothered to publish a whole feed.
Actually… the site that article is from doesn’t seem to have adverts on it. All the more reason to publish a full feed!

Interesting thing about that incident…the other guys who were in the car have admitted to provoking the attack by egging peoples houses…so, the Police were looking in the complete wrong place…waste of time eh…
They’re still looking for the rock-thrower though…

Kids are idiots sometimes… well, I suppose anyone can be an idiot, but I sometimes think that young people haven’t developed common sense or empathy so they’re both silly and nasty to each other.
The whole situation just struck me as unnecessary and a culmination of the two factors I just mentioned.
I read another headline later in the day that they had arrested a guy for throwing the rock.
