I’m going sailing! Well, I hope I’m going sailing. I’m leading on a children’s sailing camp until Friday. There should be sailing involved, unless it really does rain all week as is predicted. It’s not getting wet that’s a problem (obviously!), but lightning and 10-20 knot winds can be.
I really intended not to be lame and write a farewell post. I was going to write a couple of posts to be published while I’m away, but I didn’t get a chance. So, this is it for a week.
In the meantime you might like to check out:
- the recommended posts in the sidebar
- some of my favourite blogs, websites and computer programs (also in the sidebar)
- my photoblog, where I’ll have pictures everyday – including Christmassy ones (not too cheesy though!)
- Color Hunter, a cool website I saw recently that makes colour schemes from photos
- GIMP – I keep talking about it, but really, version 2.4 has some excellent improvements – I’m loving it!
- Pixelpost – photoblogging software that I’ve been using for a while, but recently they’ve redesigned the website, updated the documentation, heaps of addons have been made, version 1.7 is being released… it’s really great!

Thanks pelf!
I’m back now 😀
My site died while I was away – my account ran out of money. 🙁 What a fool I was to forget to fund it before I left!

I like the linkblog on the side there (especially that my blog is one of them!). It’s a feed for your del.icio.us account yes? Is that a plugin, or… how did you create it?
kristarella says
Thanks Lauren Marie 🙂
Yes, it’s my Del.icio.us account. It’s using a script generated by them that I’ve put in a widget. You can find the script in the Del.icio.us settings. I described the options I used here.

Oh I didn’t even see that in your last post. I’ll go take a look. I really like that feature!
Haha, ok I just thought of something, Kristarella: You live in Australia. It doesn’t snow during Christmas there. It’s summertime isn’t it?? So what kinds of Christmas songs do you sing? Obviously I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas, Let It Snow and I’m Walking in a Winter Wonderland don’t really apply! LOL
kristarella says
Haha, yes it’s true. Most of our Christmases are quite hot. Except this one. I had to wear a jumper!
People still sing those songs though. I suppose we can always dream of a white Christmas. However, it would be concerning if we got one!
There are lots of other Christmassy songs. My favourite carol is O Holy Night.
