I’ve come across this package a couple of times. I haven’t paid much attention to it because I already use lots of the programs that are on there. Since I use those programs I thought it would be a good thing to promote this compilation to those who may not use the programs and who might be looking for good, free software to use.
Software For Starving Students is a CD compiling useful, free, mostly open source (but not all) software for Mac OS X or for Windows. If you’re just starting out and looking for a suite of programs for many of your computing needs you should check it out. If there’s something that you suddenly find yourself wanting you could check out the list of programs to see if they know what you want. You don’t have to get the CD for one program, you can go to the program’s site directly.
I’m sure you don’t have to be a student to download these programs either… anyone starving will do. 😛

Have you any idea how much of my day you just swallowed up with that single link? 8|
I’ll give you a clue. It was a lot.
But I have some nice new toys to play with, so that’s ok. I forgive you. 🙂
