I think I’ve caught hubby’s cold. I’ve never sneezed so much in my life! I think that if those things about sneezes and heart stopping or sneezes and orgasms were true I’d either be dead or really happy right now. Unfortunately I seem to be feeling worse by the hour. At least it’s the weekend and I can rest.
I rented five DVDs last night. It’s pretty good, in Blockbuster at Hornsby you can get 5 weeklies for $6. So far they are going well. Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, hubby hadn’t seen the first one but it was out so I couldn’t get it. It was an okay movie. Good if you want to watch a bit of action, a bit of fun and some Angelina Jolie (I have to admit, she is hot). I thought the first Tomb Raider was better though.
Today we watched The Devil’s Advocate. It was really good. What else can I say really? It makes a statement about human nature, about desire, about the devil. If you believe the devil exists it’s a great illustration of how he influences people to do things that they want to do, it seems like a good idea at the time, but it turns out badly – for everyone.
The other movies I rented are I’m With Lucy (it doesn’t look all that great but I just keep being drawn to it when I’m in the store – it might be the girl, she was in a couple of other romantic comedies that I really liked), End of Days (what can I say? I just love those Roman Catholic prophecy type movies) and Turner & Hooch (who doesn’t love Tom Hanks? I just hope the only relationship formed is the one with the dog – I need human relationships too!).
