Last night I helped my friends with their wedding invitations. They’d seen a site that we used some ideas from and I think they’re going to be great when they’re put together.
The website is TearDrop and it has some novel and cool invitation ideas. I really like what they’ve done because they’re so simple. They use a design, print it on nice paper or card and that seems to be about it. They also do matching thank you cards and place cards etc. They do use some different printing techniques, not just laser or bubble jet, but the result is still simple and attractive.
From the blog that TearDrop links to I found this thing called Trash the Dress. It seems like a kind of cool idea to get some interesting and unique photos in attire that will probably never be worn again. I’d love to do something like that if my husband would play along (and if I still fit into my dress!). People hope that maybe their daughter will wear their dress or something like that, but how often does that happen these days? Many of the dress trashing shoots seem to be based around water and the beach, which doesn’t seem to be that destructive to be honest, some are a little more extraordinary. My favourites (that I’ve seen) are fully submerged water ones, the paint one (my very favourite) and the fire one.
