Nope, not about Bernard Fanning; I didn’t even know his album was called that, I didn’t even know he and the lead singer of Powderfinger were the same guy until I saw a video clip and said “Hey, you know he looks like…”
Do you know that song Tea and Sympathy by Jars of Clay? It’s on their album Much Afraid. Not my favourite of theirs but now that I’ve ripped it and I’m going to put it on my iPod, I have a feeling that it’s going to grow on me. Anyway, I was thinking of that line “Don’t trade our love for tea and sympathy” when I made this.
I also made a version without text.
If you’ve ever got a drawing idea or a little project you want to do but you don’t want to draw the image from scratch, Open Clipart is a brilliant resource. I got the tea cup from there (I can’t for the life of me find it listed now, the image is still on their server though – weird!), although I changed the colour of the cup and of the tea, I left the tea bag though because it was just too cute. I’ve found the best way to find what I want is to browse the tags via the menu on the left. There wasn’t a biscuit or cookie there so I’ve added the one I drew for this image. The rendering of the text looks a bit weird in the browser, but it’s fine when you download it. Yay for people sharing their things for free!

I love JoC! I am also captivated by a good song title like “Tea and Sympathy”.
