What a strange last night of holidays it’s been.
After watching an episode of season 8 Stargate SG-1 I took a nap, it was very comfy on the couch; I heard some comings and goings of hubby, tapping on the computer and doing some dishes. When I got up he was in bed reading, I thought little of it, he’s been lying on his side several times a day to put ear drops in. Then he said he had a migraine, I told him reading wouldn’t help, he said he was trying to keep his mind off it but then he got worse and quite sick. I tried to help – tablets, cold cloth on the forehead, water – eventually he calmed down and went to sleep.
With him ill and sleeping I went about a few things on the computer, I started sewing together the ends of my broken bag (yeah, the new one) and it didn’t occur to me to eat. So we haven’t had any dinner and it’s time to go to bed. I’ve finished sewing up the ends of the strap back onto my bag so it should hold for some time. One end seems much neater and stronger than the other one, it always seems to take a practice run to get the best technique for things like that.
I seem to have broken my computer. I was trying to make some grungy desktop backgrounds in the GIMP, I guess I managed to succeed. I saved what I’d done and clicked the x to close the program and it all froze, never to return. I killed X (the graphics interface for Linux) but it didn’t restart, it claims that X isn’t configured properly. This is only the second time Linux has frozen on me and the first time it’s broken in such a way. Hope it’s something mundane and easy to fix… for hubby to fix anyway, I wouldn’t have a clue where to start
Wish me luck for work tomorrow!

 I’m with him on the migraine. I know it’s not good to be online with one but I try hard to distract myself of the pain. I’m going to nap soon.
Love the angels design! You do excellent work on your site. I always enjoy seeing the changes.
I hope you’re able to fix the X issue. Enjoying you as a renter! :nerd:
