I don’t really know but I might be out of a job next year. At the moment I’m a lab assistant. I work with a Fellow, two PhD students and a Masters student. The two PhD students are finishing, Masters student is having a baby and the fellow might not have funding for next year. In which case everyone except the lab manager will be gone and I don’t do any of his work.
I’m not sad or stressed about this, mostly just curious. I didn’t really want to work when I went back to uni full-time but it was a possibility that I would need to. In the end the decision might not be up to me. It will be interesting to see what happens.
This is the first job where I will be truly sad if I don’t see my workmates again. I hope there is some level of keeping in touch, even dinner once a year would be okay.
