We have a desk lamp sitting on the window sill of the kitchen for a bit of extra lighting while doing the dishes and such. Unfortunately it causes some logistical problems when it comes to opening and closing the window. I just opened the window and thought everything was steady until it came crashing down. Really safe! I’ll probably knock myself out next time.
Then my toast got stuck in the toaster and most of it came out but there was a rather large chunk in there and I thought to myself “great, now we’ll be smelling burnt toast for weeks”. So I got my knife and dug it out, after unplugging the toaster of course. Lets hope that next time I don’t forget and electrocute myself.
I’m a little worried about my husband, he’s still asleep at 9:45am on a Friday morning and even my near death experience didn’t wake him. I hope he doesn’t have glandular fever. Several people we know have had it or have it now. Can you only get it from close contact? I’m pretty sure he hasn’t been making out with any of those people… or anyone else for that matter.
