I can see the seasons changing. Every week is a little warmer than the one before it. The sun is a little higher every time I walk out the door. Yesterday I wore a t-shirt for the first time in ages! I wore a jacket with it and it was just the right clothing for the weather. That is until I wanted to go home.
I had observed the ominous clouds building and wondered if the clocks in the lab were correct because it was only 3.30 but it was so dark. As I was getting ready to go home Daz informed me that the weather was bad. Understatement! I had to walk in freezing cold rain. Literally freezing, half of it was hail. I imagine that’s what a sleet storm is like. I was very wet and very cold. I had worn the right shoes though. They managed to stay as dry as could be expected; my socks were damp but there wasn’t any squelching action.
I have never seen snow in Sydney. I don’t know that it has ever snowed in Sydney, ever. It might have but quite possibly not. I won’t claim that this was real snow. It certainly wasn’t worthy of a toboggan but it was impressive for our snowless city to see white footpaths.
