… every night and day. I never lost one minute of sleeping, wondering ’bout the way things might have been.
Working for a Jewish doctor has it’s perks. He is very cautious about what he eats and being a specialist doctor he gets presents from patients, often in food form. Apparently there are heaps of things that might not be kosher. Bread, it might have been baked somewhere that they work with ham as well. Anything that has dairy in it might have been in contact with something that once upon a time contacted meat. It’s cool for us, especially today when we got to eat the shortbread and chocolate cookies that a patient gave him. Sweet!
Work is quite slow today. I’ve been waiting for about an hour for the electrophoresis machine to free up. I think it just did… Nope, my mistake. I think my assumption that the person using it was watching its progress may have been incorrect. Woops! The tail tips haven’t come in this week yet so I can’t extract the DNA from them and I’m pretty much up to date with the PCR. It would be quite laborious to transfer the files that need printing from my computer to one attached to a printer without a usb key. So I’m not going to do that until I bring my usb key. BORED!
Less than two hours until we play squash! I’ve never played before so it will be a bit interesting. I tried to read a few of the rules to get an idea of what to do. I was going to bring hubby’s squash racquet to use but i couldn’t find it. Turns out it was on the top shelf of the cupboard, the shelf I can neither see nor reach! Luckily Yvonne brought a spare for me.
I wish I had some more photographic inspiration. I haven’t been posting on my photoblog as much. I haven’t taken may new photos. I haven’t been anywhere new. I have a few from the party on Saturday night that are good, I just need the time to sit down with them, edit, resize and so on and then publish them. I have a really cool one of Nat but she’d probably not speak to me if I put a pic of her on the net.
