I decided that today would be a good day to try a few tea samples I’ve received!
Strawberry Bliss Chai
From T2.
Green tea, ginger, cardamom seed & husk, clove, pepper, chilli, strawberry pieces & flavour
This was unlike any tea I have tried. I kept wanting to think it was zesty, but it really wasn’t zesty: zesty is something like lemongrass and ginger, this was more like spicy. However, it wasn’t “I want to dunk my head in milk spicy”, it was a subtle, but noticeable zing.
From the T2 description:
Spicy, sweet and chilli hot with a chai overlay. It will have your palette dancing.
I agree. I enjoyed this tea! Normally I don’t go for something claiming to be strawberry flavoured, but this was a really good combo!
Go Go Goa
From T2.
Black tea, cinnamon, cardamon seed, ginger, orange peel, pink pepper, vanilla, flavouring
This one is new; apparently so new that there isn’t even a web page for it yet!
The serving recommendation is for milk and honey, so that’s how I had it. It was lovely! Very smooth. It has those chai-like elements, but it wasn’t zesty or spicy, it was just warming, pleasant, and sort of smelled like coconut, even though it isn’t an ingredient. Maybe my nose mistook vanilla for coconut! Whatever happened, I thoroughly enjoyed that cup!
Cadbury Breakaway Biscuits
Okay, so this isn’t tea, but they are lovely with a cup of tea! Cadbury Breakaway Biscuits were new in the supermarket, so I picked up a packet of hazelnut. Mmm mmm, they are yummy! Layers of thin wafer biscuits with a bit of hazelnut filling and coated in chocolate. They are also individually wrapped, so you don’t have to worry about the packet going stale if you like to pace yourself!

I am drinking a cup of Go Go Goa right now, served with hot milk and honey as suggested. What a lovely cuppa! The smell is amazing. Yum.
