I baked today which was good fun. I also did the supermarket shopping which is also excellent.
I made rasberry and white chocolate muffins as well as triple choc cookies, both from Donna Hay Classics 2. They were yummy and they went down well at youth group tonight.
I’m a bit down *sad* so I don’t feel like writing much. I think the study that I wrote on Genesis 6-9 (The Flood) went okay tonight. Thanks God!
In my search for some different smileys I did a stupid thing. I downoaded and executable and installed it it was called “smileycentral…” and it really didn’t give me smileys. What it did do was in stall a My Web Search toolbar on my computer. I didn’t need another search bar in my browser and it wasn’t listed as a program that could be removed. So I just deleted the associated files. It took alot of work and some running of spy programs to get rid of all the files. While it looks to me now like there aren’t any of the files left there is still a toolbar, albeit blank, at the top of Firefox. I can hide it which is nice but it gives me the willies to think that it’s still infesting my computer some how. It even spammed my Thursday Thirteen this week – all of the links in the comment started with www.mywebsearch… That just ticks me off. I hope they don’t get more business from the disgusting ways they promote themselves. The help section of Firefox has an “adding/removing toolbars” section but it doesn’t say anything about actually removing them, only showing, hiding and adding. Hiding doesn’t equal removing!
Please visit my renter for some brighter news 🙂
With Smilie Central…check and remove the My Web Search thingo from the Add/Remove files thing. I had it once, deleted it, and then never saw it again. =)
DOUBLE POST –
The add/remove thing in the Control Panel, not firefox
“it wasn’t listed as a program that could be removed”
I tried that, it wasn’t listed.
