Depression with a side of anxiety

19 April 2013 by kristarella

That’s me! Well, it’s not “me”; I’m not defined by depression, but it is a significant part of me that I have to manage the best way that I can. What’s there to be depressed about? I can’t decide if this is a fair question, or one that shows a complete ignorance of mental health […]

You can’t take your organs with you

12 March 2013 by kristarella

When I got my driver licence there was no question in my mind that I’d be happy to give any of my organs for donation in the event of my death — you can sign up for the NSW organ donor register when you apply for a licence, or specify which organs you would be […]

21 January 2012 by kristarella

I have an old belt that was very worn around the holes and seemed to be on the verge of tearing. I was going to throw it out, but it seemed such a shame to waste the rest of it, which is quite nice. I realised I could make wrist cuffs out of it! I […]

Diary pen holder

7 January 2012 by kristarella

I have a $3 notebook from Office Works that is great! It has heavy, creamy pages, an elastic band to keep the cover closed and a pen holder that fits my fountain pen nicely. Then I have a 2012 diary that is almost great: it has a beautiful cover, lovely pages and typography, but no […]

12 in 12

5 January 2012 by kristarella

Thanks to Twitter I caught wind of Fitarella’s 12 in 12. Not only does Jacqueline have a cool screen name, she also has a great idea for this year! The rules for 12 in 12 are that you do something every day for each month of 2012, at the end of each month you decide […]

I had to reset my phone this week, and in the sear I had to reset my phone this week, and in the search for a new wallpaper I remembered this evening spent with my company at Epcot Disney World. Good memories! Loving seeing this on my phone everyday.

I don't always feel the need for a new notebook in I don't always feel the need for a new notebook in the new year, but I did this year. I'm not really kissing 2020 goodbye and thinking 2021 will be better; I suspect there are plenty more curve balls coming our way, but I am hopeful that my mindset for the year will be strong and resilient.

I can't believe there are no bunnies! #karate and #lego were definitely a thing though. Personally it wasn't a bad year, I look forward to better times for and with everyone else though 🤞🏻❤️
