Definitely check out my renter. She had an interesting gunshot scare yesterday and she told a story about giving birth to her twins who are now 6 years old, she also has the cutest kitten! Oh my goodness, I wish I had a kitten!
I went out for my blood test this morning. I had a bit of trouble finding the place. It was supposed to be number 10. I went towards the medical centre complex but discovered that’s 16-20 or something like that. So I walked up the street to another centre. This one had the x-ray place in it but it was number 14. Walking further up the street I thought I wouldn’t find it because the next places were a high school and a tennis centre however I passed them and viola! Number 10. Can you believe that a whole high school AND tennis centre only take up the number 12 lot on the street? Weird! It went alright, the guy didn’t speak very good English but he took blood well. He didn’t have trouble finding the vein and he managed to get blood for about six different tests out of the one vein and needle. I was impressed.
After the test I went to St. Vincent de Paul’s (Op Shop type place) to find some things to wear to a 21st tonight. The theme is Fairy Tales and Nursery Rhymes. Unfortunately I couldn’t find anything suitable. I was looking for Hansel and Gretel or Little Red Riding Hood but All I found was a black jacket that I liked the look of so I bought it. I also went to the Anglicare store which was more promising but still didn’t have anything suitable. When I couldn’t find those things the only other fairy tales I could remember were Cinderella and Snow White, they didn’t have anything for that either. There was a nice blue skirt I could have used for Snow White but I couldn’t find a top and I don’t think I have one. If a had a sewing matching I could have transformed something but I don’t. So I decided that I’m going to wear hubby’s USyd hoodie which is red and he can wear a flannel shirt and we’ll be a modern day Red Riding Hood and woodcutter.
I visited the Fruit Market before heading home to get some fruit, eggs, lebanese bread and chocolate so that we had some choices for breakfast/lunch. We made pizzas with the lebanese bread. The woman at the Fruit Market was so friendly! She made a point to say hello to me when I went in and wished me a good weekend and was very smiley. It was very pleasant.
We watched Father of the Bride II today. What a lovely movie. Just really nice, haven’t watched one like that in a while. I’m hoping to get a chance to bake cookies today but I might get caught up on the computer for too long! We’ll see.
